Position: License Clinical Supervisor/Consultant

Location: N3ST

The LCSW/LMFT Clinical Supervisor/Consultant will provide strong leadership to ensure Lamp operates
a safe and secure program with field-based services that are the outcome- and performance-driven
and staff that are focused on assisting clients to maintain stability in order to retain permanent
housing. In coordination with the Program Director of Permanent Supportive Housing, DHS, and the
Assistant Director of Permanent Supportive Housing, Jail Programs, this position is responsible for
maintaining the highest quality services and efficiency of operations while fostering teamwork
among staff and across departments and programs. The Clinical Supervisor/Consultant is also
responsible for providing clinical supervision and consultation to assigned staff and


1. Responsible for leading clinical aspects of Lamp’s DHS jail program services
2. Coordinate supportive housing programs and activities with outside service and housing
partners and funders
3. Provide individual and team clinical supervision, support, and performance evaluations for all
assigned staff
4. Facilitate monthly clinical Case Conference meetings as well as weekly group supervision
5. Assess clients in acute psychiatric crisis situations and develop appropriate intervention
6. Be willing to become LPS designated and write 51/50 holds
7. Provide short and long-term individual therapy as assigned to clients enrolled in the jail
8. Provide field-based intervention services and support clinical and case management staff with
difficult case situations
9. Provide leadership and clinical consultation on mentally ill, homeless and supportive housing
best practice models; generate recommendations for resources based on programmatic needs
10. Participate in Lamp’s quality assurance program and ensure the implementation of quality
improvement activities to ensure ongoing quality outcomes
11. Ensure adherence to funding source contract and performance standards
12. Attend meetings and conferences, prepare written reports, and complete related projects as
13. Complete required mandated reporting requirements when appropriate
14. Ensure all member paperwork, data collection and data systems are complete, timely, accurate,
and current in agency records and electronic databases


1. Licensed as an LCSW, LMFT, or Psychologist – 2 years post license preferred
2. Four years’ full-time experience working with the homeless, preferably those living with
mental illness and/or substance addictions; or an equivalent combination of education and
3. Able to work with a high tolerance harm reduction model
4. Knowledge of Trauma Informed Care practices a plus.
5. Able to learn quickly and work effectively with a wide range of constituencies and with
minimal supervision
6. Strong interpersonal and team building skills
7. Self-starter with the ability to stay ahead of the curve and thrive in fast-paced work
8. Able to be on-call 24/7
9. Able to provide direct supervision and management of assigned staff
10. Detail oriented with excellent time management, organizational, written, verbal, interpersonal,
and computer skills
