Job Description:
The Licensed Therapist is responsible for implementing mental health services for the clients in our Supportive Housing Shelter and Domestic Violence Resource Center. Responsibilities include providing direct counseling services to individuals, families, and groups. Provides training to staff on trauma-informed mental health and supervises client case reviews.
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility is to provide direct counseling services to emergency shelter and domestic violence resource center clients (adults and children)
Conduct ongoing individual and group collaborative consultations with program leadership to enhance trauma-informed skills with a particular emphasis on the identification of mental health conditions
Conduct case reviews with program leadership to ensure the mental health needs of clients are being identified and addressed
Ensure the counseling program complies with legal and ethical standards of practice
Assist in developing policies and procedures necessary for effective program outcomes
Develop and implement in-service training for staff and interns
Requirements:
Licensed in California as an LMFT or LCSW
Current with all BBS continuing education requirements, including law and ethics and supervision
Knowledge of Domestic Violence and Trauma-Informed Care (highly preferred)
40-hour Domestic Violence Training required (Will be provided by WSLB)
Bilingual in Spanish is required
Limited on-call availability for clinical emergencies only
