Essential Functions: Donor Administration
Cultivation of Major Donors under direction and in partnership with Senior Manager, Philanthropy.
Maintain and develop professional relationships with major donors, and any affiliated family foundations and associated personnel.
Network for the development of prospects/new major donors.
Maintain regular communication with major donors (and other stakeholders) ensuring that current news, activities, and photographs are shared with major donors on a regular basis (per individual donor preferences, one-on-one by email, phone, or in person).
Develop communication pieces for Philanthropy, such as fliers, brochures, etc. in partnership with the Donor Relations Specialist and Philanthropy team.
Oversee production of quarterly philanthropic newsletter for Ambassador Families and Major Donors with support from the Philanthropy team and Marketing.
Attend events and activities involving major donors, as needed, and assist major donors during attendance at events/activities.
Coordinate and attend meetings (including coffee/breakfast, lunch, and dinner meetings) between TPIRC leadership and major donors and prospects.
Working closely with patient liaison to provide support and assistance for Ambassador Families/Donor Circle donors currently participating in treatment services (such as TIP) with appointment accommodations, directing families/patients to the correct Clinical point of contact, and continuation of stewardship efforts (follow-up/communications).
Work in partnership with Philanthropy team to solicit Major Donors, restaurants, companies, etc. for in-kind donations, sponsorships, and auction items.
Maintain a working knowledge of Blackbaud, with occasional data management and reporting tasks.
Utilizing Third Party Fundraising Platforms.
Oversee projects using third party fundraising platforms, such as Just Giving, with execution support from Donor Relations Specialist.
Support Philanthropy team as needed, inclusive of special projects as assigned by Senior Manager, Philanthropy.
Bachelor’s Degree required
Preferred of 2-3 years of Development or Philanthropy experience
Must be comfortable in a medical setting – interacting with healthcare professionals and patients.
Concierge stewardship experience in a medical setting a plus.
Experience with donor databases, Blackbaud, Raiser’s Edge preferred.
Must be organized and detail-oriented.
Timeline oriented and sensitive to deadlines.
Comfortable with multi-tasking, flexible, and able to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
Must be willing to assist with activities that take place at night or on weekends.
Offsite travel is required, including to meetings, events, etc.
Must be sensitive and committed to donor and patient confidentiality.
Must be a self-starter and work in a dynamic fundraising setting.
Confidence and skill handling clients in person and on the phone.
Excellent proficiency with Google G Suite, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Google Docs.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
