Rainbow Services, Ltd. is a progressive, equal opportunity employer that provides comprehensive services to survivors of domestic violence and their children. The Director of Support Services provides leadership to the direct service staff and oversees the provision of support services, including case management, counseling, intake into services, support groups, and children’s program activities. The Director works closely with other managers to ensure participants are provided with trauma-informed, strengths-based services and support.
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Status: Full time, exempt
Duties:
Oversee the agency’s support services programs.
Supervise the Intake & Advocacy Manager, Clinical Services Manager and Children’s Program Manager.
Ensure program compliance with contractual obligations and service goals, including participating in the Continuous Quality Improvement team.
Develop, evaluate and implement program policies and procedures.
Provide crisis intervention and direct services, as needed by program participants.
Ensure appropriate clinical and program supervision for direct service staff.
Facilitate ongoing professional development training for staff.
Ensure proper documentation of services by program staff.
Evaluate participant and program needs and make recommendations for changes.
Build relationships with community partners and networks and represent the agency at community events and meetings.
Contribute to overall agency management as a member of the Leadership Team.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
MSW (or equivalent), LCSW preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
At least 10 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of three years in a team management role, including management and supervision of multiple levels of an organization.
Demonstrated leadership in non-profit management.
Ability to inspire and motivate staff through modeling commitment to the issue of intimate partner violence.
Understanding of trauma theory, with experience in implementing trauma-informed service approaches.
Interest in addressing social justice issues affecting families and vulnerable groups, and a commitment to the movement to end intimate partner violence.
Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. required.
California driver license required.
40-hour state mandated Domestic Violence training required and can be provided upon hire.
