New Horizons, a nonprofit serving special needs adults in the San Fernando Valley for more than 60 years, seeks a self-starter to be a Life Skills Instructor.
This will be a very rewarding experience for reliable people who have a passion to help others.
A perfect part-time or second job!
No experience necessary. We are willing to train the right candidate.
Our Great Benefits Include:
-30+ work hours eligible for part-time benefits (Medical, Vision & Dental)

Flexible availability. 25 – 40 hours a week (may include weekends)
SUMMARY: Implement training and support services to adults with developmental disabilities living independently. Empower individuals by providing the support they need to live safely in their own home, neighborhood, community and job site.
**Looking for flexibility to work in different locations:
-San Fernando Valley
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
-Implements training and support services to members.
-Participates in the development of individual support plans. Provides input for service planning and implementation.
-Assists members in maintaining medical/dental appointments, shopping and other necessary trips.
-Must speak English
-High School Diploma or equivalent
-Experience with special needs / developmental disabilities (preferred)
-Driver’s License for 3+ years required. Must be at least 21 years of age.
-Authorized to work in the United States.
