Marketing Coordinator

Reports to Director of Marketing

Job Type: Full-time. Hybrid. Non-exempt.

Annual Salary Range: $50,000 – $55,000

EXP is looking for a Marketing Coordinator to join our small yet spirited department. This position is a hybrid work environment with expectations to come into the office as needed for team meetings, event preparation, and other administrative tasks. In this role, you will support the Director of Marketing in managing and producing marketing content and materials and assist the Events Manager with event preparation. You will also report to the Director of Marketing and work closely with the Events Manager.

Specifically, we are looking for someone to support the Marketing Director with the following:

·Coordinating and managing print and digital marketing materials, including drafting social media and e-newsletter content, developing graphic elements according to brand guidelines, and shooting photos and videos with a work-assigned iPhone.

·Coordinating marketing material review process, including proofreading and routing the project through other departments for approval.

·Scheduling and posting content on social media, as needed.

·Managing promotional material inventory and budget. This may also include picking up purchases from nearby vendors.

·Departmental administrative needs such as check requests and tracking payments.

And to assist the Events Manager with the following:

·Planning and managing events, conferences, and meetings, including vendor and venue research, establishing contacts with volunteers, managing check-in lists and attendance, and merging and printing name badges.

·Event preparation and execution, including packing event kits, managing the check-in table, and running any event-related errands as needed.

·Post-event follow-ups, including breaking down event kits, reconciling attendee lists, formatting final lists to fit CRM upload perimeters, and sending thank you emails to volunteers and vendors.

We believe you will succeed in this role if you meet the following requirements:

·Bachelor’s degree preferred in marketing, communications, or design fields with 2+ years of experience; or Associate’s degree with 3+ years of experience.

·At least 2 years of marketing, communications, graphic design, and/or events experience.

·Must have strong Microsoft Office skills, especially mail merge and Excel.

·Must have graphics or general design experience or a great eye for design. Experience with Canva is preferred. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and/or Squarespace is helpful.

·Demonstrated writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

·Comfortable taking photographs and shooting videos with an iPhone.

·Comfortable using social media and a CRM to track activities for volunteers, sponsor contacts, and other stakeholders.

·Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required for events.

·Have reliable transportation to get to run errands and to get to events.

·Physical Demands: The physical demands described here must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Requires a full range of body motion, including handling and lifting up to 15 pounds, navigating stairs, manual finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Involves standing and a lot of walking. Requires normal visual acuity and hearing.

A strong candidate for this position should also:

·Be organized and customer service-oriented.

·Pay attention to details.

·Have excellent interpersonal skills for representing EXP in public during events and be comfortable working with high school students.

·Be able to work under pressure, meet competing deadlines, and positively adapt to change.
