Educator Lunch and Learn: Synthetic Sand Collection

Come collect your very own synthetic sand samples to take back to your classroom at our upcoming Educator Lunch and Learn: Synthetic Sand event on Saturday, January 20th from 11-1!

After learning how to sift and collect our beach sand samples, we’ll make our way back to our research and learning center to enjoy lunch as we put together the teaching kits. This teaching kit is a great resource for students to learn about microplastics (small pieces of plastic less than 5 mm in size) and their impact on our environment.
