SUMMARY
As part of a multi-disciplinary team, the Licensed Clinician will engage members and coordinate
mental and primary health and recovery services that will ensure housing stability and community
integration. This position is responsible for maintaining the highest quality provision of direct
individual and group therapeutic and case management services while fostering teamwork among staff
and across departments and programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provide, coordinate, and implement mental health and recovery support services with individual
members
2. Coordinate with the member’s case manager to ensure members are connected to primary health
care and reduce need for emergency health care services
3. Develop effective, trusting relationships with members, with a focus on facilitating
independence and maintenance of improved physical and mental health
4. Collaborate with each member to develop their individual service plan; review and update it
quarterly and upon completion of goals
5. Provide leadership and clinical consultation on mentally ill, homeless and supportive housing
best practice models; generate recommendations for resources based on programming needs
6. Assist members with becoming involved in daily activities, socialization, health maintenance,
sense of community, and progress in recovery reflective of the community model, which emphasizes
customer choice, harm reduction, and psycho-social rehabilitation
7. Work cooperatively and cohesively with other members of the PHS team, including participation
in weekly staff meetings, group clinical supervision, and trainings, and provide clinical consult
to PHS advocates as needed
8. In coordination with supervisor, provide budgetary oversight of program administration and
ensure program revenue and expenses are within adopted annual budget
9. Ensure adherence to funding source contract and performance standards; complete required
reporting as outlined by funders
10. Ensure all member paperwork, data collection and data systems are complete, timely, accurate,
and current in agency records and electronic databases
11. Adhere to National Association of Social Workers code of ethics

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Masters’ degree or Ph.D. in Social Work or Psychology
2. Licensed as an LCSW, LMFT, or Psychologist
3. Four years’ full-time experience working with the homeless, preferably those living with
mental illness and/or substance addictions; or an equivalent combination of education and
experience
4. Able to work with a high tolerance harm reduction model with members who have multiple
barriers
5. Able to learn quickly and work effectively with a wide range of constituencies and with
minimal supervision
6. Strong interpersonal and team building skills
7. Self-starter with the ability to stay ahead of the curve and thrive in fast-paced work
environment
8. Able to be on-call 24/7
9. Able to provide direct supervision and management of assigned staff
10. Detail oriented with excellent time management, organizational, written, verbal, interpersonal,
and computer skills

11. Able to obtain and maintain CPR/1st Aid certification

Preferred Qualifications

1. Two years’ post-licensure work experience
2. Knowledge and experience in chemical dependency and substance abuse treatment
3. Bilingual English/Spanish
